Awasi Patagonia
Set within a private reserve on the outskirts of the Torres del Paine National Park, Awasi Patagonia’s villas are the perfect base from which to explore the surrounding forests and mountains. Cut off from WiFi, this feels truly like a wilderness, one which is wonderfully tranquil.

Location
The cabins of Awasi Patagonia are spaced through a private reserve with stunning views of the world-famous beauty of the Torres del Paine mountain range. The peaks thrust their way out of the Patagonian steppe.
Accommodation
Each of the 14 individually furnished private villas at Awasi Patagonia comes complete with its own hot tub, wood-burning stove, and incredible views. Externally the simple wooden structures are architecturally inspired to emulate old Patagonian ranching shelters. The cabins blend into the landscape and successfully become a part of it, but are also positioned to give the very best views of the national park and mountainous landscapes.
Awasi Patagonia is home to the world’s most southerly Relais & Chateaux restaurant. You will be treated to sumptuous dishes containing locally sourced ingredients, often picked from their very own kitchen garden. The masterful chef prepares a fresh, seasonal menu, including imaginative delights, such as guanaco tartar, that you will never taste elsewhere. He’s a true artist when it comes to presentation and the mixing of subtle flavours.
Experiences
Each Awasi villa is assigned its own personal guide and four-wheel drive, enabling you to discover hidden parts of the region with someone who knows it inside out.
- We particularly recommend visiting The Awasi Puma Foundation, a conservation project launched by the hotel to protect the local puma population.
- In addition to experiencing the unmatched views of Torres del Paine, why not spend an excursion looking downwards; to find fossils. The fossil forest hike will bring out your inner palaeontologist.
- Witness the vivid blue colouration of the ice floes calving from the Grey Glacier.
- Spend a day horse riding with local gauchos, marvelling at their skill and fortitude and visiting “El Mercado”, their trading post.
- Delight in the plethora of birds to be seen at places such as the Azul Lagoon, including the caiquen upland goose, and the endemic Rhea.
- Visit a cave with prehistoric rock art inscribed by the nomadic Tehuelches people.
