Situated in the heart of Rosebank, a secure and leafy suburb, The Grace has been designed in the neo-classical style with understated elegance, without losing personal charm. Providing exclusive, comfortable accommodation and service which is personal and efficient, there are seventy-five bedrooms, fifteen of which are suites, all decorated to the highest standard. Fine and imaginative cuisine is served in the restaurant adjoining a sunny roof garden and poolside terrace. At the pool terrace light meals, teas and drinks are served high above the hum of the streets below.
Little Kwara sits in the heart of the Okavango Delta on a very large private area of land, which encompasses not only the open lagoons and shallow waterways of the Okavango, but also great expanses of savannah and forest leading to the Moremi Wildlife Reserve. Altogether the Kwara Reserve measures 1750km and the camp itself is hidden on a large wooded island with just four huge tents set on raised wooden decks. The view from each tent is excellent and encompasses the plains and lagoons of the delta and each has en-suite w.c. and shower, two wash basins and large bed with safari furniture and veranda.
As the reserve has so many different types of habitat you can expect to enjoy excellent game viewing here, including sightings of big herds of plains game such as zebra, wildebeest, a variety of antelope, giraffe and buffalo. The reserve also has resident prides of lion, as well as leopard and hyena and you can also expect to see a host of smaller creatures such as warthog, baboon and, on night drives, porcupine and civet cats. Elephants are also present in large numbers and you can spend hours watching these magnificent creatures, with their complex family structures, roaming the Okavango floodplains.
You can enjoy a wide variety of game viewing activities including traditional mokoro canoeing, boating, walks with an armed guide and tracker and drives by open vehicle during the day and at night. Because of this variety and flexibility we usually recommend a stay of at least three nights here.
Lebala Camp is situated on a peninsula of land jutting into the heart of the Linyanti Delta that surrounds the camp. This delta comprises big seasonal floodplains, hundreds of square miles of savannah, as well as varied forest which includes mopane trees, huge old baobabs and acacia; all of which attracts a very large number and wide range of animals.
Lebala Camp is located on the largest private game viewing concession in Botswana the 2320km Kwando Concession. It shares this enormous area of land in northern Botswana with its sister camp, Lagoon Camp, and because the concession is private you can enjoy the widest possible range of game viewing activities which include walking with an armed guide and tracker, game drives by open vehicle both during the day and at night with a spotlight to view nocturnal creatures. There is also a hide close to the camp where you can enjoy exciting close up game viewing and bird watching.
This huge reserve attracts very large numbers of animals including large herds of elephant including lone bulls and big breeding herds, herds of buffalo, graceful looking giraffe and a wide variety of antelope, zebra, wildebeest and other plains game. More rare antelope such as roan, sable, sitatunga and lechwe are regularly seen. This reserve is also a very good place for spotting predators and wild dogs regularly den in the area, and if you add the cheetah, leopard and lion which all inhabit the reserve you have an exciting predator population.
The bird watching in this area is also very good indeed with approximately 400 species including big eagles, brilliantly coloured kingfishers, storks, herons and an enormous variety of other birds. Your guides would know every one.
The accommodation here is very comfortable with just eight huge tents set on a raised wooden deck with en-suite bathroom (flush w.c. and shower), proper beds, safari furniture and a private veranda facing onto the open plains. The standard of cuisine is very good indeed and all drinks and laundry are included.
The River Club is situated on a hill on the Zambian side of the Zambezi River, eighteen kilometres upstream from Victoria Falls. There are ten very large, open fronted and split level lodges, each with magnificent private views of the river. Each lodge is made of timber and thatch, and has an en suite shower, bath and basin with hot water, and w.c., as well as a mosquito net and overhead fan.
The main lodge is a large converted colonial home that has been beautifully refurbished and decorated with old prints and artefacts. The long dining table is the setting for enjoyable dinners where lively conversation about river adventures and wildlife encounters runs into the night.
The River Club is an ideal out of town base for visiting Victoria Falls and enjoying the adventures and activities such as rafting, canoeing and flights over the waterfall. You can also visit Livingstone, while from the lodge you can enjoy banana boat rides, nature walks and birding. There is not a lot of wildlife, although elephants are normally seen on the river islands in front of the lodge.
There are hippopotamus in the river and over three hundred and fifty species of birds including fish eagles, malachite kingfishers and many raptors, rollers and sunbirds.
